Welcome to H2 Build

H2 Build has been providing high-quality design and build services for our clients across the Puget Sound region since 1992. Led by architect and builder Barry Huntington, H2 specializes in three areas: new home and townhome design and construction, renovation and remodels, and architectural services. H2 has deep experience in all of these areas. Two key aspects of H2's services truly set us apart: our unique attention to project detail and artistry, and our integrated service offerings, which allows us to work with you easily, and stay on time and on budget. What is H2?

Artistry in construction. Builders can often focus on the nuts and bolts of making houses instead of homes. H2 provides comprehensive, high-quality, affordable design and build services, with a decided edge on adding the artistry that turns houses into homes.

Homes are our most important structures, and the home building or renovation process is the most important process most of us will ever undertake. Helping you is the most important process for our experienced designers and builders as well. We live and breathe home building.

H2 has designed and built many homes over the past 20 years, from remodels to new construction. We’ve also consulted on many civic and commercial projects. See our portfolio page for more details.

Our first and most important step is to help you achieve your vision on your budget and timeline. And we’re good at this. We can do it because we’re experienced, and we offer you a full-range of in-house services. We’re not going to pass you off to outside architects and subcontractors, which can complicate your vision, your timeline, and your budget.

We're happy to provide references and addresses of our previous work. Email us if you'd like to have this information.

Our President

About/The H in H2 stands for Barry Huntington, founder and president of H2 Build. Barry earned his architecture degree from Washington State University in 1986 and started his architecture career with The Callison Partnership in Seattle, where he served as the project lead on many large commercial projects. He moved to Hewitt Isley where he worked on large commercial and civic projects including the Kitsap County Public Works Building. In 1992, Barry left Hewitt-Isley to start the Huntington Development Corporation (HDC). HDC's focus has been exclusive on new home construction (single family, townhomes and condominiums), remodels, and architectural design services. HDC became H2 Build in 2012. Barry is a registered architect in Washington state (license 5659).
